The majority of staff were lovely, the beds were comfortable.

The breakfast was amazing. I only wish it opened a little earlier as most of our tours had us leaving the hotel at 6:30 AM so we did not get to experience the breakfast four of those days.

Great location in the centre but not to near the main busy area of the centre it was down a bit so not near as noisy as I taught it would be for Dublin city centre . We stayed in room 3037 Deluxe room the pictures had a few more luxurious items than the room had for instant pictures showed a two seater couch and fancy red cushions we had neither we had plain green cushions and one armchair and no table as some photos showed, that been said the bed was luxurious and huge, bathroom had a lovely large walk in shower , fresh clean towels, shampoo , conditioner , shower gel , sheets and room was cleaned each of the 3 days we stayed , fridge, tv , safe , hair dryer, iron all the items needed .Nothing amazing about the view it was of another of building but it is a city centre so didnt expect much of a view.. The breakfast options was out this world from hot buffet to cereal, freshly made porridge on request, gluten free breads , cereal in there own area with there own toaster , fresh fruit, yogurts , pancakes the options was endless . Madigans pub next door was a beautiful spot for food and a drink staff and food were fantastic

The Gresham is one of the most famous hotels in Dublin. I always thought it would be too expensive for my taste but was surprised at how competitively priced it was for so central a location. A grand aunt of mine transported guns out of there in the 1920s after a rebel operation there so I had a bit of curiosity to walk in her footsteps though not to follow in them. The hotel lobby has an ostentatious feel, and there is a bar/restaurant to the right as you enter. The rooms have a modern feel and are spaciously built out. The last room I stayed in had two tvs and two double beds, and an expansive walk in shower in the bathroom. In addition to the regular shower head there was was a large overhead vertical shower head with high pressure the kind Americans love and, if your'e like me, you will love it too. The highlight though for me was the breakfast. You can get the full Irish breakfast, sausages, rashers eggs, beans, even chips I think. Beyond that is a range of pastries or different breads with toasts and jams and you can even cut your own slice slice of sourdough. When you enter they will not offer you merely a cup of tea or coffee but produce an entire pot of your choice. The coffee got me wired for the day. You have a choice of drinks you can pour for yourself, fresh oj, cranberry or grapefruit. I loved the grapefruit.

Very good hotel in the city center (Dublin1). You can get there easily and economically from the airport, with the Aircoach 700 and 700X buses. Next to all bus and tram stops. There are very good restaurants, super markets and shops around the hotel. Helpful and smiling staff, willing to answer any questions. A hearty breakfast that will satisfy every taste choice. It also has gluten free products!
